During summer vacation, CBNU had a busy time because of much construction. Representative constructions were in the New Students Hall, Gae-shin Cultural Center, and the Humanities and Social Sciences building.
The Humanities and Social Sciences building's construction was started on December 30, 2008 and was ended on August 28, 2009 and had the opening ceremony. The Humanities and Social Sciences building's size is 7th floors, and it is built to supplement lecture rooms and for offering a good environment to students.
Construction done in the Gae-shin Cultural Center was repairing the stage and a new underground construction. The stage repairing work was for facility improvement and it will be ended in about the middle of September.
The underground construction will be for new facilities replacing space now in New Students Hall like Nyong Hyup, the school store, bakery and post office. This movement is for more available space in New Students Hall. This movement makes more New Students Hall space for students than before. The school has plans to change the lawn which is located next Gae-shin Cultural Center to a square for students using Center.
Although there are many new constructions for students, there are still some lacking. Buildings no.11 and no.4, facilities that have deteriorated still have not been repaired. Especially, building no.11 which students use, has been repaired little, because the building is scheduled for demolition.
As a matter of course, it is important to construct buildings like the Humanities and Social Sciences building and Gae-shin Cultural Center for offering good facilities. However, there are students who study in classrooms with broken windows. People concerned with the school should think more carefully which ones should be changed first.
