The performance "Very Busy" satirically speaks of modern society by describing the hard situation of the 80's. A family in need appears. The strange story of each member is shown respectively. The father is a sanitation worker, and Dongchil is his wacky son-in-law. They live in a poor house and wear ragged clothes, but they don't lose their hope. However, one day, the father's old friend Mr. Park, who runs a junk shop, makes away with their money that they earned picking up scrap metal. Since the family is skeptical about money which breaks human relationships, they leave for Utopia. When it comes to the title "Very Busy," people might associate it with the busy lives of modern people. However, this title implies the whole dynamic atmosphere of the theater where the actors constantly try to speak to the audience and jump into the seats. Strange situations induce laughter. The father suddenly hits the audience members with a toy hammer, and even Dongchil strongly cries out, "Why do you deal with offspring such as a son-in-law?" It might be hard for audience memvers to empathize wist the actors until the play ends However, there is a sad and bitter characters' mind that is hidden in the heavy issue of poverty. If you want to feel something deep and impressive, go see "Very Busy."
