It is time to greet the end of my sophomore year. As time has gone by, I have thought facing the world alone has been difficult. Also, whenever I see a small chance of getting a job, I become skeptical. I even wonder whether I am doing well for my future, and I am ashamed of myself that I thought I had more time. I feel that I have to change myself into a necessary person. Therefore, self-improvement is needed to increase my worth.
Of course, improving oneself isn't easy. However, self-improvement isn¡¯t actualized only by special methods. There is a method of discovering oneself which everybody knows. Socrates formerly said, ¡°Know yourself,¡± and there is, ¡°Know your enemy and know yourself; in a hundred battles you will never be in peril¡± in The Art of War. In the other words, when you know your forces as well as the enemy, you can win a victory. Can this word be translated to mean you can find a good job after discovering yourself? You cannot even find a clue of self-improvement unless you know yourself.
What is your goal? How do you make your future? Once you answer your own questions, self-improvement, which seems to be difficult, will be easy. Information about yourself will be your lighthouse. Although the process for finding answers may take a long time, you will see the future if you succeed in solving problems.
I want to ask students whether you are doing your best now. The world is never easy. Hard workers are needed in this rapidly changing world. Also, we, who live on this world, have to work hard to survive.
