Dormitory rules that caused Chungbuk National University students inconvenience have been significantly changed for students' convenience. First, the curfew hour has been changed from 12 p.m. to 1 a.m. Accordingly, students are currently able to enter dormitories an hour later. Moreover, daily roll call will not be conducted anymore. It means that the inconvenience, which students had to be in their rooms at roll call time, ended. However, the roll call will be replaced with surprise visits. The chief of the building will pay a visit to the rooms without notice and will check whether students keep their rooms clean.
The rule about staying out also has been changed. Students have not been able to stay out without a special reason and an approved document. However, students can stay out 10 days per semester without any special reasons or an approved document after the change, but students should make an application for staying out on Chungbuk National University's dormitory web site a day before. In addition, the dormitory expulsion standard has been relaxed from 5 to 15 points.
