Various traditional festivals, like Rio Carnival in Brazil, La Tomatina in Spain, and Oktoberfest in Germany, are held worldwide. In Korea, there are festivals like the Danoje Festival and the First Full Moon Festival. However, in the Japanese colonial period, Japan tried to erase Korean culture and the festivals were not allowed. After National Liberation Day in 1945, Korea couldn¡¯t afford to hold festivals owing to the Korean War and the faltering economy. Now, people are trying to restore Korean traditions and culture, and traditional festivals have come back increasingly.

How satisfied are people who live busy lives? It is not easy to live a repetitive everyday life without any special moments. Then, how do some people live a life without regret? For me, regret means that I was capable of doing something better at the time, or I was capable of making better decisions but didn¡¯t. It¡¯s best for me to make my own decisions in every moment of my life and not to regret those decisions. However, I¡¯m not suggesting that the readers make hasty decisions.

Everyone may have heard the question once: ¡°What is your dream?¡± Some people may be able to answer this question immediately, while others may not. As for me, I am the latter one. Since childhood, people have always asked, ¡°What do you want to do when you grow up?¡± or ¡°What is your dream?¡± I had a clear dream in the past. My childhood answer was, ¡°I want to be a diplomat representing Korea!¡± However, as time went by, this answer became less certain.

Cultural data is known as the crude oil of the 21st century. The Korea Culture Information Service Agency (KCISA) is a public institution that connects culture, people and information. KCISA collects data and analyses it. KCISA has worked hard to establish a cultural information service and cultural policies that match regional characteristics through big data analysis. CBT reporters met with the head of the Korea Culture Information Service Agency, Lee Hyun-woong.

Most people choose to travel to Japan because they don¡¯t have much time when they want to visit nearby countries. Therefore, the number of Koreans who traveled to Japan has been increasing over the years. Last year, 7.54 million visitors went to Japan. However, many people canceled their trips to Japan recently due to the boycott and the decreasing number of planes flying to Japan. Considering these circumstances, a unique trip to Russia might be the solution for many Korean travelers who are looking for other destinations. The CBT reporter, Lee So-yoon, went to Russia. I will introduce my journey.
