The two clubs of the Department of Physics, SEM and RPG, took part in the 2019 KPS (Korean Physical Society) Fall Undergraduate Research Poster Session. The Undergraduate Research Poster Session was held for undergraduate students who are interested in physics and want to present their research under the guidance of one of their professors. Students in majors related to physics were also able to participate. | |

People can easily find posters around them that ban the usage of disposable cups in cafes or shops. According to a Ministry of Environment survey, about 26 billion disposable cups are used in Korea annually. Annually, Koreans use more than 600 disposable cups per person on average. In an effort to reduce the amount of plastic waste, the government announced a law that banned using plastic disposable cups in cafes or shops from Aug. 2, 2018. | |

These days, marriage has become a choice, not a must, like in the lyrics ¡®Dating is a necessity, marriage is a choice¡¯ from the song ¡®Amor Fati¡¯, and the number of singles is noticeably increasing. According to a survey by the National Statistics Office of Korea, the marriage rate is decreasing every year, and the number of marriages has been fewer than 300,000 since 2016. More and more people are choosing a non-married life on their own, so why are there so many people who choose to be single? | |

Recently, movies that spotlight social issues have been gaining huge popularity from the public. Movies about problems not only provide fun and excitement but also encourage the audience to recognize social problems and show what might happen in reality. CBT researched the characteristics of these movies and some of the leading social problem movies. | |

Synergy, the current Student Council, began their work in March 2019. CBNU students worried about Synergy because Synergy was elected in a second election after being defeated. However, Synergy has silently fulfilled their pledges for the welfare and convenience of CBNU students. Many students even felt sorry for them at the end of the Student Council¡¯s term, and students lavished praise on Synergy¡¯s work. Their term will expire soon. Let¡¯s check on the status of their pledges and their implementation plan. | |

On November 29th, the Student Council of Muslim Students held a Muslim event at CBNU Office of International Services. The event was to introduce Muslims and their food. The media reports on activities by informing or forming the public opinion through various media. In other words, the media represents society. People have access to news and share information with each other through the media. As the media informs about what is happening in society, people can express their opinions or form communities, so the media plays a big role, especially when people act collectively. One example is the ongoing protests in Hong Kong. | |
