The national university incorporation is a result of the education system influenced by neoliberalism, which flowed into Korean society under the name of 'Globalization'. Neoliberalism pursues market-oriented development and considers values of commodities as supreme ones. The effects of incorporation in tuition would be disastrous if national universities decide to be incorporated. Not only the tuitions of national universities will rise, but also the value of the profit will suppress value of learning in order to keep the budget balance. The reason why the incorporation is conducted strongly even though it involves many bad effects might be that we became unconsciously accustomed to the logic of neoliberalism. Besides, it is gradually being processed in unexpected ways because of people's various views and attitudes; some people are beneficiaries of neoliberalism, and others have not realized the seriousness of the long-term impact, and still others don't know what to do against the power of neoliberalism.

If the government incorporates national universities, the incorporation will damage the original goals of education. Then, it can give rise to the fall of other basic studies such as social sciences and humanities. I don¡¯t want universities to become another competitive places to chase immediate profits only.

Seoul National University(SNU) is a representative national university of Korea. If SNU becomes incorporated in reality, other national universities will be following too. There were few people and enterprises that donate development funds to local universities which are located outside of Seoul. If the government reduces giving support to universities, universities will increase tuitions and reduce faculty members to recover budget deficit.
