CBNU Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) introduced the learning system CBNU AI-Campus using AI from the first semester of 2025. CTL said it has introduced AI-Campus to help students who cannot adapt to college life due to lack of basic academic ability. AI-Campus measures students¡¯ levels through diagnostic evaluation, presents the most efficient learning process based on the measured learning ability, and visualizes strengths and weaknesses in the learning process to help them learn best. The subjects currently on offer are mathematics (differentiation, statistics) and science (physics, life science) to improve basic academic ability.
So Hyun-sub, a researcher at CTL, said, ¡°AI-Campus began research and development in 2024, and began a pilot operation in the first semester of 2025. Currently, some subjects are used in connection with classes, and students can access the system on their own to learn,¡± and added, ¡°In the future, we will expand and apply more and more subjects based on students¡¯ reactions and learning results, and we will continue to expand the scope of AI-Campus.¡±
However, the current AI-Campus participation rate of students is low. In response, researcher So said, ¡°It has not been long since it was introduced, so the participation rate seems to be lower than expected because many students are unaware of the existence of AI-Campus. In the future, we plan to integrate it naturally into learning mentoring programs and AI supporters¡¯ programs allowing more students to benefit. The learning mentoring program is a team-based activity that supports the learning of senior mentor students and lower grade mentees and will increase the participation rate of students as it is effective in increasing learning continuity and immersion. Apart from the operation of various programs, we are also considering promotional plans.¡±
Researcher So, said, ¡°Currently, AI-Campus consists of only basic subjects to improve basic academic ability, so not many students need them. In the future, we plan to expand both core subjects to enhance basic academic skills and a variety of subjects that support students¡¯ self-development, such as basic major subjects, language-related contents, and preparation for certificates. If that happens, the utilization rate of AI-Campus will naturally increase.¡±
