A few days later, Bruno makes a friend, strangely dressed in striped pajamas, named Shmuel, who lives behind an electrified fence. They plan to explore the prison camp. The plan is that Bruno will also enter the prison camp wearing striped pajamas. They take each other's hands until the end of the movie, but they die.
