There is an association of veterinary students consisting of 45 chapters. The South Korea chapter is one of the most active chapters among them and holds various events annually. Jang Hyeon-young(’13, College of Veterinary Medicine) is the president of the South Korea chapter of this association. IVSA stands for International Veterinary Students’ Association and was first established in the 1950s in Europe. Korea entered this association in 2007. | |

Retired Professor Kim Jong-wook of the Department of Animal Husbandry at Chungbuk National University passed away in August. We had been friends for more than 40 years. He was someone I admired very much. When I graduated from college in 1970 I had no idea that I would eventually spend four years of my life in Korea and that I would have many memorable experiences.
