Collections of quotes using popular character¡¯s lines from healing cartoons or novels like Winnie the Pooh or Anne of Green Gables have been famous in Korea. The collections suggest more appropriate solutions for people¡¯s worries in daily lives. They contain advice about the common pressures people have about human relationships. As many people feel the burden of relationships, I think the friendly advice has made the collections famous.
 
The Republic of Korea has a capitalistic economy. Most countries have adopted capitalistic economies, and they have created a lot of developments and wealth. Also, there are certified public accountants (CPA) all around the world, and they are known as the guardians of capitalism. In Korea, people who want to be a CPA should pass the CPA examination, which is conducted by the Korea Financial Supervisory Service. After passing the exam, CPAs conduct tax affairs of companies, audits, and management consulting. CBT reporters met Cho Seong-gun, a graduate of CBNU (¡¯86, Dept. of Business), who is not only a CPA but also a CEO for the accounting firm Sunwoo.
 
If students want to participate in a competition, they don¡¯t have to look hard. This is because various competitions are held at CBNU every year. To name a few, there is Window of Empathy, Reading Competition, and My Cultural Class Story. How much do students know about these competitions, and how often do they participate in them? Many students can¡¯t participate in them because they don¡¯t know they exist. CBT investigated school competitions for them. This article is based on interviews with the CBNU Communication Education Center.
 
While walking through the campus, students can see many foreign exchange students around them. As the number of international students has increased, the welfare programs for foreign exchange students are increasing. There are also many programs for CBNU students to encourage them to interact with foreign exchange students. Currently, CBNU has various international exchange programs that provide opportunities for Korean and foreign students to interact with each other.
 
Selcar Team, which is focused on smart car engineering, received the grand prize at the 2019 International Student Car Competition. A competition held in Hwaseong K-city was organized by the Korea Transportation Safety Authority and the Korea Auto-vehicle Safety Association. 45 universities in Korea participated in the competition to show off their creative automobile technology. The Selcar Team surprised jurors and spectators by performing various self-driving missions, including recognition of lanes and traffic lights, obstacle-avoidance driving, and automatic parking.
 
This year is the 50th anniversary of the Korea Electronics Grand Fair (KEGF), which was held in COEX Halls A to D from October 8th to the 11th for 4 days. 750 participating companies from 11 nations took part in the exhibition with 2,000 booths. This year¡¯s fair theme was the Forum Where Culture and Technology Meet. KEGF is the nation¡¯s largest electronics and IT business exhibition, and it gives its visitors a view of the fourth industrial revolution era¡¯s future technology. The fair was divided into 3 exhibitions: KES (Korea Electronics Show), SEDEX (Semiconductor Exhibition), and iMiD (Korea Display Exhibition).
 
In May, WHO (World Health Organization) decided to give gaming disorders registered disease code, and the Korean government decided to do the same. The pros and cons of adopting a gaming disorder disease code were discussed by the Korean government. WHO recommended a new disease code policy for 2022, but the actual implementation in Korea will be 2026. The names for gaming disorders differ. In the medical field, gaming disorders are called game-use disorders, and in the gaming industry, they are known as game indulgences.
 
The number of households that have companion animals was 5.74 million among 1.952 billion in Korea in 2017, and it has increased drastically since 2010. Many people are raising animals with affection; however, they sometimes can¡¯t take care of their animals. For these situations, animal care services have prospered. As a result, in Korea, companion animal hotels and pet sitter services have flourished. Companion animal hotels are kennels for animals, and they offer accommodations and food to animals. They are useful to people who are away for long periods of time. Still, many incidents happen as the hotels have been unregulated by laws and staffs have been careless.
 
Trend Korea, which is a book series that predicts yearly mainstream trends, has become a bestseller, and it elicits explosive reactions from its readers. Trend Korea analyzes the previous year¡¯s consumption trends, and it anticipates the year¡¯s upcoming consumption trends. The readers can get much information about the changes in consumption through this book, and they can prepare themselves for the changes. Trend Korea 2019 analyzed the 2018 consumer trends and selected the cell market as this year¡¯s trend keyword.
 
Have you heard the term Millennials before? The term showed up in the book named Generations, Future of The United States, which was written by Neil Howe and William M. Straus, for the first time in 1991, and it refers to the generation that was born between the early 1980s and early 2000s. For the November issue, CBT investigated Korean Millennials and the conflict between Korean Millennials and the older generations.
