University students' winter vacations are long. Many students probably made a detailed schedule for the long winter vacation and spent a meaningful time. This writer participated in an English camp during this vacation. One day, I saw an article. It was an article about a recent survey asking 341 university students what their plans for the winter vacation were. 85% of the students answered that they were going to prepare for the job market. This article made me reflect on myself and think back on if I spent enough time devoting myself to prepare for the job market. I regretted not having opportunities for taking some time for introspection. At the moment, with a tough job market, I think, of course, it would be helpful to prepare for employment during winter vacation. However, I'm sorry that the students lost so much time. I think that students need a break from routine.
For this reason, I went on a Gangwon-do trip for two nights and three days with my friends this winter vacation. White snow covered the whole world. Walking in the white snowfield, I again thought about the way I should go. The next day, I went to Naksan Temple in Yangyang. I was able to leave the routine student life by seeing the high seas and the sky there. The journey of two nights and three days gave me a chance to look back on myself. This journey also served as momentum for my inner mind. Winter looks desolate but is preparing for spring's blooming under the ground. During the winter vacation, most university students are probably preparing for the bloom of their youth, having employment. However, I think it is important not only to study hard but to feel the season during a vacation. I want all students to have a healing time to refresh themselves.
