CBNU General Education Headquarters will operate a new project CBNU-FTC (Fresh TOEIC Certified) until Tuesday, Dec. 31. CBNU-FTC was established to encourage interest in foreign languages among freshmen (excluding students on leave of absence, re-entry students, transfer students, foreign students, and exchange students) and help them lay the foundation for future advancement into society by cultivating global capabilities.
Single-payment Scholarships provided by the project will be awarded to applicants based on either the TOEIC, TOEFL, or NEW TEPS test scores administered from March 1, 2024 to Dec. 31, 2024. TOEIC is divided into scores of 600 or more, 500 or more, and 400 or more, and participants may receive up to 70,000 KRW. TOEFL is divided into 68 points or more, 56 or more, and 40 or more, and candidates are eligible for up to 50,000 KRW. NEW TEPS is divided into 277 points or more, 195 or more, and 167 or more, and those who take the test may receive up to 30,000 KRW. Those wishing to apply for a scholarship must obtain an official language proficiency score, fill out the transcript and scholarship application form, and submit them to the person in charge via email (bjy5127@cbnu.ac.kr).
Scholarships may close early when the budget is exhausted and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. It is paid around the 10th of the following month, based on applications made by the end of each month.
