Pedestrians are suffering inconvenience because the Joongmoon-street in the Chungbuk University is being defiled by leaflets. About this situation, the Intramural General Affairs team said, ¡°We are not applying any particular regulations for it. Unlike placards posted on specific spots, there is no proper method to control the leaflet advertising around the Joongmoon entrance. Also, we have difficulty because it is actually hard to punish offenders using the Minor Offense Law.¡±
These leaflets that are distributed in Joongmoon mainly include discount information about various academies and new restaurants, and promotions for campus events. After a bustling lunchtime, when passing through the Joongmoon street, it becomes dirty by dumped leaflets. Kim Hee-sun (¡¯11, Department of English Language and Literature) said, ¡°I can hardly find something useful in these leaflets. I have no choice but to take one while passing the street frenetically, but most of the time I throw it away.¡± It is a problem that the street is getting dirtier because the distributors don¡¯t dispose of the waste from the leaflets. It is necessary to effectively control this situation by creating regulations.
