CBNU Cafeteria raised its food expenses
On February 12th, CBNU Livelihood Cooperative Association (LCA) increased its food expenses. LCA announced that they adjusted the price to the level of minimizing the extent of the losses because they couldn¡¯t endure a deficit caused by a rise in operating costs and in prices. Accordingly, the price of instant noodles and rice balls has increased to 1,700 won, and the other menus have also gone up 300~500 won in prices. In case students have the old-meal tickets, it is possible to use them after paying for the extra costs and exchanging them for new ones.
CBNU has frozen the tuition fee
On January 23, CBNU held the Tuition Deliberation Committee and announced that they decided to freeze the tuition. Although they expected many difficulties due to the tuition freeze, CBNU actively accommodated the government¡¯s policy to ease the burden of tuition fees and took into account the economic conditions of parents and the nation¡¯s shared sacrifice. Last year, CBNU cut down on tuition by 5.3%.
CBNU will implement the Reading Certification System
CBNU will carry out the reading certification system to manage students' reading activity systematically. A reading certificate under the name of the CBNU president will be issued to the students In order to receive this reading certificate, freshmen, sophomores and juniors must read 15 suggested books and seniors must read 5 books per semester. After reading each book, students need to submit the report. CBNU is planning to provide 5 students with the ¡®Subulseokgwon (â¢Üôà·Ïç, barely putting a book down) Award¡¯.
