The Chungbuk University Education Center will be run from 2012.
The Chungbuk University National Education Center(N2) is scheduled to be opened with students' curiosity.
The center was constructed from the first basement-level through the eighth by support from the government. The center's major institution is the law school. Also, Industry Academic Cooperation Foundation, Faculty of Liberal Education, and Center for Teaching & Learning will move to building N2, but there will be no outside institutions such as convenience stores.
The CBNU Law School is one of 11 regional law schools and the only one in Chungbuk. However, there are a small number of accessible classrooms for students. As a result, the students have to use the two old buildings of the College of Law. An anonymous graduate student also said, "The small number of classrooms causes many classes to clash."
The Head Office anticipates that the inconveniences will be resolved thanks to the Chungbuk University National Education Center. It has enough classrooms so that the academic atmosphere in the classes will be better. Furthermore, the mock courtrooms will be larger, and there will be various courts which will be classified by litigation.
The staff of Department of Planning and Evaluation, which belongs to the Office of Planning, said, "The center is constructed near the front gate, so we foresee that the distance between the outside world and the institutions will become a lot shorter by transferring the Industry Academic Cooperation Foundation, the Faculty of Liberal Education, and the Center for Teaching & Learning to the center." In addition, Industry Academic Cooperation Foundation, which is located on the 9th floor of the Head Office now, has had a large floating population. However, the Department of Planning and Evaluation said that the use of the elevators will be reduced so that electrical bills will also decrease.
A graduate student in the law school said, "Constructing the center will improve CBNU's image. I also expect that law school students can study more than before in good conditions by increasing the number of study rooms and lecture rooms."
On November 30th, the ChungBuk University National Education Center will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony soon and open next year after a test operation for one month.
