CBNU Dokdo Supporters Visited Dokdo 80 Dokdo supporters from CBNU visited Dokdo from October 13th to 15th in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the foundation of our school. This event was arranged to inform students about the reality of Dokdo as a Korean territory and to establish a proper view of history by learning more about Dokdo.
CBNU Emergency Board Committee was Established CBNU was chosen one of the national universities that will be forced into structural reform. On October 26th, CBNU started an Emergency Board Committee for pushing its own reform to fight against the government's decision. This committee will discuss various plans for structural reform in order to improve CBNU's competitiveness. Additionally, it will come up with an innovative idea for better management and will prepare concrete plans by the end of February next year.
Succeeding in Dementia Treatment by Using Stem Cells A research team led by professor Kim Yun-bae of the veterinary school of CBNU succeeded in dementia treatment using human stem cells in collaboration with the University of British Columbia (UBC) after 3 years of research. It's the first time in the world for human stem cells to be directly applied in research. Human stem cells work for other diseases such as cerebral palsy in children, multiple sclerosis and Lou Gehrig's Disease.
