The campus of CBNU is filled with advertisements. Posters are stuck on the bulletin boards, and pamphlets are handed out in front of the New Students¡¯ Hall and Jung-moon. Furthermore, banners hang on pillars.
Advertising at Jung-moon and the New Students¡¯ Hall is under the control of the General Students¡¯ Association(GSA), and advertisements appearing in each college are managed by each Students¡¯ Association(SA). They permit the advertisement of dong-a-ris or each department. Advertisements, which are useful to students like contests and internship programs sponsored by corporations and the governments, are also permitted by GSA. However, ads have to be permitted by the SA to be posted in these places. It is because the bulletin boards at Jung-moon and the New Students¡¯ Hall are more likely to be seen by more students than in other places.
Advertisements hoisted on the road and the walls of the Main gate and the East gate are under the control of the Office of Student Affairs. The competition for advertising near the Main gate and the East gate is less than in Jung-moon, which is managed by the GSA. For this reason, members of CBNU can advertise their activities freely. However, advertisements from the external contractors have to receive permission from the school. If they don¡¯t receive approval, their ads are removed by the staff members of CBNU.
Ads for sales promotions are forbidden, but lots of external companies do irregular advertisements. The regulation has a limitation to control these excessive ads. Therefore, students have to exclude the ads for sales promotions themselves.
